To commence with the process, it is imperative that the four wires of the DMS load cell are correctly interconnected with the Signateq® measuring amplifier through a proficient soldering operation. Subsequently, establish a connection between the Signateq® measuring amplifier and the XENAX Xvi 75V8S servo drive.

Once the setup is complete, proceed to the ‘Load Cell’ menu to input the sensitivity value of the force sensor. Given the exceptional linearity of DMS load cells, an accuracy level of less or equal to 0.5% across the complete load range of the sensor is attainable, rendering the calibration of the measuring range typically unnecessary. However, as a precautionary measure, it is advisable to cross-verify the forces using a readily available commercial weigh scale.

With this arrangement, the force value becomes immediately accessible in the XENAX® servo controller, eliminating the need for transmission via external control electronics. This direct access not only promotes the shortest cycle times but also offers the potential for eliminating external control electronics altogether.
